Somewhat ironically, Robin Thicke, Pharrell Williams and T.I. will have to give it up to the tune of US $7.3 million to Marvin Gaye’s estate, with a jury deciding that Thicke’s hit, Blurred Lines, sounds a little too much like the late soul legend’s 1977 song, Got to Give It Up. The Gaye family initially sort US $25 million at the start of proceedings over 12 months ago. It’s the latest in a run of bad luck for Thicke, whose career seems to have been on the downslide since the song was a hit in 2012 and we can imagine that Pharrell Williams is anything but Happy. Check out the Rip-Off Hall Of Fame above for other songs that have crossed the (blurred) line.
