XR:WA presents a unique opportunity to experience immersive technologies and virtual reality in our home state, through a specially curated program of events at the Fremantle Maritime Museum, Studio Startup, The HIVE, Sunset Studio and expo venue, the Pan Pacific Hotel.
Featuring as part of the Revelation Perth International Film Festival, you’ll also find the Screen Industry Field and Career Day, as well as a free games and immersive emporium, free talks and experiences across the range of venues between Saturday, July 6 until Sunday, July 14.
Gathering together screen artists, developers, craftspeople, campuses and businesses, Rev Film Fest is more that just cutting edge cinema. It provides professional opportunities for the entire WA screen sector – including events such as Workshop: Preparing For Intimacy Scenes, that prepares actors and directors for intimacy scenes following the recent changes to the Screen Australia code of conduct, and the continued development of the #metoo movement, preventing sexual harassment and providing a safe work environment on film and television shoots.
Or Panel: Women in Film, sure to be an engaging discussion about the current state of the industry, and future possibilities. It’s a free event, so come and join our interstate guests, amazing local industry and anyone with an interest in film.
The Revelation Perth International Film Festival is currently taking place across Perth and Fremantle, embracing moving image art, live music, interactive and immersive media forms and films, including PJ Harvey’s A Dog Called Money and Emma Tammi’s The Wind. The festival attracts around 80 national and international guests from all forms of artistic practice.
